1st time customer. Atmosphere was nice. Beer was nice and cold. Waitress was great, felt she was definitely being overwhelmed and could have used another waitress/waiter, but maybe she was working solo because it was a Monday. Our food was good, not great. Would have been nice to have fries instead of a small bag of Ruffles potato chips as a side. Will try again, maybe just for the cold beer and live music.

Nice little hidden spot. The food was really good especially the cheesesteak. The goat cheese cheeseburger was great too. There is live music on Saturday afternoon and it is played at a decent level so that you can have a conversation without having to yell. The service was a little slow but didn't take away from the experience.

Cool little river side bar and grill. Nice staff. Didn't get to try the grub but it looked amazing.

We were looking for a place for a good burger on our way from the mantee viewing center heading back to Tampa and found AJ's on the River. Read the google reviews so off we went. Burgers were good, waitress very helpful and friendly, atmosphere catered to exactly what were looking for lunch in an outdoor setting. The burgers are huge and this particular day they had some entertainment and good beer specials. Try it out if you are looking for a good 1/2 pound hamburgers.

Great place with an awesome Florida feel and beautiful view. They make the best Cuban sandwiches. Michelle was our server and she took great care of us. Will definitely go back.

First time here after living in the area for years...and I'm kicking myself. This is a low key establishment right on the Alafia River. This is not swanky, and that's alright. This is an affordable, hidden gem with solid service and a great location. In fact, being there on a Saturday, they even had live music!If you happen to have a boat, they have docks, also. Definitely suggest to check it out!

You drive thru a residential neighborhood and then suddenly you arrive. Right on the water, great food, great guitar player on Wednesday. Very reasonable!It's 70 miles from where I live but will go again for sure

Fantastic service and great sandwiches. We had a Cuban and Italian. The bread really stood out to me, fresh and tasty. Give it a try on a sunny afternoon.

Great riverside venue. No liquor license but they make a great wine based margarita! The food is INCREDIBLE!!!!! Try the burgers or Blackened Fosh Sandwich when available. The beef is delivered fresh daily from a local farm with grass fed beef!!!!

Friendly service, nice breeze on the river. Food was good being a burger and chips. They do not do fried foods here at all, menu is simple but plenty of choices. Beer and wine only also. I will be back again.

Their Ruben is soooo good, and their potato salad is loved by everyone we bring. Live music is always great and I love being able to bring my dog with me. The dogs are very welcome which is very nice

Great Cuban!!! Reasonably priced and great view right in the river!! The band was just loud enough that we could enjoy the music and still have conversations at our table. Highly recommend if you are in the area. You can park your boat and eat there as well.

AJ's is great to stop while boating and enjoy good food, good service and a ice cold beverage. Not many places in the east bay area to drive a boat to and sit on the deck and enjoy a cold beerLoved it

This in awesome little spot off the beaten path. The service is great, drinks are cold and the food while limited in selection is tasty. I would have given it 5 stars had they had more of a food selection. However this is a great spot to grab a drink, kick off your flip flops and enjoy the day. If you have a boat its got a dock and boat launch. So launch your boat do a little fishing, dock at Aj’s for lunch and head back out on the water. Its a great spot to relax and enjoy the river views.

They have a nice list of drinks and food. It's good and cheap. A nice place for kids and adults. They have games outside and a nice deck to walk on.

Just a real laid back spot. Good time with friends or good time with the family. Cant beat food and beverages with a decent view up and down the river.

Omg! It was amazing! 4 start because the menu is limited to burgers and sandwiches. They do not offer fried food but let me add that shrimp it's to die for! The service! Superb! I am more of finger food gal therefore on personal note it's only 4 star due to limited menu and parking lot. But the music, the staff, the place and the location its awsome for girls night out! You ladies if you want enjoy great place, drink, shrimp and be loud ! THIS IS THE PLACE!😊

Food is good, staff is friendly and helpful. Philly cheese steak was large and yummy. Pizza was ok. Cuban sandwich was yummy also. Prices are good and the views are nice

Very nice atmosphere. Had the Black and Bleu burger and potato salad. It was very good. They use fresh ground beef (no frozen patties). Drinks were awesome and so were the employees. Live music, right by the river, friendly patrons. I would recommend this place.

Stopped here because it was rated highly. Food was excellent, service was ok, considering there was only one server. The part that I didn’t like was the number of people smoking. Noticed that non smoking indoors.

Ask Linda for meat curtain sandwich it is amazing and you won’t forget get the unique taste. In conclusion I would recommend this place for a nice place to bring the boat just don’t get a BWI like I did after I crashed into the dock after last years 4th of July party.

It’s look like a very good option if you are looking for a small business, the location just in river, it’s priceless!! Good food and drinks. May be if Menu would be a little more varied would be a lot better

Great spot to sit and enjoy the river. Prices are great only second to the super friendly service. Parking can be a little tight, but manageable. I do wish they would clean up the water front. Some of th trash is easily reachable and distracts from the beautiful view.

They have a small menu but the food is great. They give you more than enough for the money.
